Built on a picturesque slopes, the village of Vieussan'' enjoys an exceptionally sweet Mediterranean climate.
In the distance, the peaks of the Caroux massif cut the horizon and draw a gigantic reclining woman silhouette.
The village is marked by an ancient history with many stone buildings, arches and ruins of the ancient 12th century castle “Castellas”, the dungeon of which remains, and the old churches.
Narrow streets does not allows cars in the village, so you must visit the picturesc village on foot.
You can visit splendide rose gardens with old varieties.
Vieussan is dominated by a landscape of vineyards, which produces excellent wine AOC Saint Chinian Coteaux du Languedoc.

Westside, Mézeilles at the foot of Naudech peak. Eastside, Plaussenous (in direction of Bédarieux)
South, Pin and Lau hamlets (direction Roquebrun). In 'le Pin" hamlet, you'll find 12th century ruins (Pin tower, Roman bridge ...)
